Thirteen independent vendors. One historic New Orleans landmark. From Cuban sandwiches to fresh oysters — all under one roof.
New Orleans' Community Food Hall
Since 1875, St. Roch Market has been the heart of the St. Roch neighborhood. What began as an open-air public market at the corner of St. Roch Avenue and St. Claude Avenue is now New Orleans' most vibrant food hall — a place where thirteen independent vendors with deep roots in this community serve dishes that reflect the city's wild culinary range. This isn't a chain. It's not a franchise. It's neighbors feeding neighbors, every day.

150 Years of History
On May 1, 1875, St. Roch Market opened as an open-air public market at the corner of St. Roch Avenue and St. Claude Avenue. Originally known as Washington Market, it quickly became the commercial heart of the surrounding neighborhood.
Through 150 years — including WPA-era renovations in the 1930s, devastation from Hurricane Katrina, and a transformative reopening in 2015 — the market has endured as a gathering place for small businesses and the community they serve. Today, under the stewardship of Kevin Pedeaux and Market Staples LLC, St. Roch Market continues that tradition with thirteen independent vendors representing the full breadth of New Orleans' culinary identity.
